Tamper Coffee Sheffield

NZ in Sheffield- Tamper Coffee

I’ve recently started on an exciting new project and as part of this, it was time to create a brand image and logo. Having done my research, and listened to a few recommendations, I chose Tonik– a Sheffield based branding agency, who I was beyond excited to start working with. And as I was heading up North for the weekend anyway, it seemed only right to go meet them in person about the exciting adventure ahead.

We met in Tamper Coffee. A short walk from Sheffield station, Tamper aims to bring the best of New Zealand’s café culture to Sheffield- and they don’t half nail it.

With exposed brick, planters and doors opening onto the outdoor area (great for sunny lunches), Tamper has a laid back cool feel.

Not only do they offer amazing coffee and fresh juices (I went for the lemon and ginger green juice & it was spot on…), but they have a menu full of drool worthy mains, with options for Gluten Free, Veggies & Vegans.

The Rejuvenator was just what I wanted on a summer day- lime and basil hummus, carrots and tomato, smashed avocado, broccolini, , halloumi and a  poached egg, topped with  toasted pearl barley and parsley pesto. Also pictured is  the sweetcorn fritters- topped with smashed avocado, a poached egg, sour cream and cucumber chilli sauce. Doing so much right, there must be a down side. And there is…..

….the negative about Tamper Coffee? That there isn’t one in London, so I can go every week.
